With funding from Multicultural NSW, ACLS has developed these free e-learning courses to build the capacity of community language school teachers to deliver best practice language teaching.

TEACHING STRATEGIES FOR CLS TEACHERS

This six-module course aims to build the capacity of new and experienced community language school teachers to effectively teach multilevel classes with diverse age groups, abilities, and language proficiencies by introducing you to a variety of evidence-based teaching methods and strategies. The course was designed to fit into your busy life, so each Module takes only 15 to 20 minutes to complete. You can complete the course anytime and at your own pace.

CULTURAL STORYTELLING FOR LANGUAGE ACQUISITION

In this course, language teacher and internationally acclaimed award-winning storyteller, Lillian Rodrigues-Pang, shares with us how she uses oral storytelling to engage students while they learn about their heritage language and culture. The course is divided into 11 short modules and takes about an hour to complete. You can complete the course anytime and at your own pace.
